The course meets the requirements of NFPA® 1001 for Firefighter I.

Program description:

After Completion of this course the student shall be able to: 

  • Identify special rescue types of situations.   
  • Size-up considerations for entanglements and extrications.   
  • Understand the possibility for need of specialized equipment/personnel.  
  • Lock/Out Tag/Out power source.  
  • Patient assessment.  
  • Need for specialized medical support – the “Go” team. 
  • Choosing and operating the specialized equipment to disassemble machinery/objects.  
  • Extrication  
  • Transfer to EMS

Hands On 6 hours      

  • Hands On practical evolutions to support knowledge base and to master the skills of victim entanglement and extrication.
