The course meets the requirements of NFPA® 1001 for Firefighter II.

Program description:

After completing this lesson, the student shall be able to:

  • Attack Class B fires and coordinate interior attacks.
  • Summarize considerations for hoseline selection.
  • Discuss stream selection.
  • Discuss suppressing Class B fires.
  • Explain why bulk transport vehicle fires are difficult incidents.
  • Discuss control of gas utilities.
  • Discuss command at structural fires.

Hands On 4 Hours

  • Extinguish an ignitable liquid fire.
  • Control a pressurized flammable gas container fire.  
  • Establish Incident Command
  • Coordinate interior attack of a structure fire.
